Life happens wherever you are
Last day of the year, my second blogpost. I was weighed down by the illusion of choice, 13 posts sit gathering metaphorical dust in the pipeline. Only because I didn’t deem them good enough to be posted in the moment.
But if we all sat and waited for the supposed right moment to arrive, all factors in line, the universe would cease to operate. All things are linear, passing by, intertwining, separating, for the sake of it.
My year was solid, per my photo library. I’m liberal with photographing moments of no consequence or value, but their value bubbles up in moments like these when I get to sift through them and reminisce days gone by. One key pattern arose, life happened to me, whenever I was. I didn’t need to do things a specific way or walk with a goal in mind, just by the virtue of existing (and observing, the hill I’ll die on - observe, it helps you tune in) I was somehow a part of life around me.
So what does one do when flowing through the waters of life? Could be a lifeless log, letting the currents guide you, could be a fish, guiding yourself but ultimately following the unrelenting flow. A decision everyone should arrive on of their own accord. I find myself doing the latter, a conscious choice for sure. Life will happen, but I do get to choose where I am when it does.
Progress, not perfection. See ya 2024.
